Job Title: Logistics Operations Manager Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our shipping and receiving department. As a Logistics Operations Manager, you will be hands-on, working on the floor, in the action, to maintain the flow of product and ensure operational excellence. You will assist in organizing the team, coordinating with departments, and keeping inventory and shipping documentation in check. This is a foundational leadership position with room to grow, reporting directly to the Senior Shipping & Receiving Supervisor. Responsibilities: Assist in the daily start-up and coordination of the shipping & receiving team. Supervise dock activities and incoming/outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Work closely with the Senior Supervisor to maintain shipping schedules and prioritize tasks. Review shipping documents like packing slips and bills of lading for completeness and accuracy. Help schedule dock appointments in collaboration with the Logistics Coordinator. Ensure safety procedures and cleanliness are maintained in all shipping and receiving areas. Inspect material handling equipment and report maintenance needs. Promote teamwork and maintain strong communication across departments (Production, Quality, Maintenance, etc.). Support continuous improvement initiatives and safe work practices. Requirements: 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. Solid understanding of shipping/receiving processes and inventory flow. Comfortable using systems for data entry and inventory tracking (experience with ERP is a plus). Physically fit and able to be on your feet throughout your shift. Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
