We serve high net worth investors through personalized investment strategies by providing objective and experienced portfolio management of publicly traded securities and private assets, personalized financial planning and holistic investment counsel. **About the opportunity:** This is an entry level opportunity for a Trader at an established and growing Portfolio Management firm, based in our Comox office on Vancouver Island. The individual fulfilling this role will work closely with the Portfolio Management Team. The primary responsibility is using our in-house CRM software to generate trade instructions. This role provides a path to earning an Associate Portfolio Manager career if combined with education and attainment of third party credentials. **Responsibilities:** This position will require a very organized individual with strong critical thinking and communication skills. Fluency with MS Office is required, particularly Excel. **Key responsibilities:** * Generate trade instructions using internally developed software * Send daily trade allocations to custodians and follow up to ensure allocations were posted correctly * Daily management of our portfolios to ensure correct rebalancing and cash flow management * Detailed review of quarterly client reports for accuracy and completeness * Work alongside our Portfolio Managers to help respond to client queries and participate in new client onboarding **Requirements:** * Strong work ethic and desire to learn * Detail oriented, analytical mentality * Strong communication skills * Aptitude to work in a fast paced, open office environment * No experience required Our projected starting salary for this role is in the range of $45,000-$55,000 per year plus bonuses depending on experience, knowledge, and capabilities.
