The successful candidate will be required to relocate to the area prior to the mutually agreed-upon start date.The P&C Business Partner serves as a consultant and advisor to the Kalesnikoff team, aligning People & Culture initiatives with strategic objectives and goals. This role builds strong relationships to deliver value to the business in areas such as talent development, performance management, acquisition, retention, and engagement.The P&C Business Partner contributes to the development and execution of people strategies that support organizational growth and employee success. They collaborate with stakeholders to identify workforce needs, address employee concerns, and implement solutions that foster employee satisfaction and operational efficiency. They will also act as an educator on HR compliance and company policies.Responsibilities:Culture and Employee Experience:Engage regularly with operations managers in a proactive and collaborative approach.Support managers and employees with employee relations inquiries, ensuring alignment with internal policies, labour laws, and human rights standardsParticipate in the development and delivery of P&C related training and communication to enhance understanding and compliance with workforce policies and guidelines.Participate in the development and delivery of programs focused on engagement, retention, recognition and wellness.Facilitate key P&C processes including employment changes, job descriptions, onboarding, and offboarding.Partner with cross functional teams including P&C team to maintain a smooth employee life cycle experience.Talent Management and Development:Partner with Recruitment Coordinator and Hiring Managers to meet staffing needs, maintain diversity and ensure compliance with recruitment efforts.Facilitates the immigration process with immigration lawyers and local programs to support international recruitment and complianceGuide the performance management process, including advising managers with performance appraisals and tracking participation in development programs to ensure fairness, consistently and alignment with Kalesnikoffs goals and strategies.Participate in training needs assessments and in conjunction with the Director of P&CCoordinate programs to enhance leadership development initiatives, particularly in policy application and employee relations.Provide guidance to operations leadership on the disciplinary process and ensure documentation, adherence to policies, and consistent application.Technology Optimization:Leverage P&C systems and platforms to facilitate recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance management and record keeping.Identify technological system needs, research solutions and make recommendations for system implementation and integration to streamline P&C processes.Provide support to employees and managers in navigating P&C systems, resolving access issues and ensuring data accuracy.Service Excellence and Organizational Effectiveness:Draft P&C policies as directed, prepare materials for senior leadership review and approval to ensure alignment with organizational standards and compliance requirements.Coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting on key P&C metrics such as turnover, engagement, training effectiveness and workforce planning.Work with P&C Administrator on benefits, claims and leave administration and support.Assist with P&C audits to identify potential risks, particularly in areas such as compliance, disputes and labour concerns.Team Development:Facilitate a consistent, one team unified approach through the delivery of P&C practices.Participate in cross functional P&C projects and contribute to continuous improvement efforts with the P&C team.Actively promote inclusivity, provide day-to-day guidance and collaborate with the P&C team on a consistent basis.Partner with department leaders on day-to-day needs and contribute to effective implementation of P&C initiatives.Working with Director P&C, implement Change Management activities and act as an advisor on change management to support leaders in navigating changes within the organization on an ongoing basis.Work with the P&C Coordinator to deliver on effective internal communications.Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.Other duties as requested or required.Requirements:Education:Degree or diploma in Human Resources, a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certified Professional in Human Resources considered an asset.Experience:Minimum 5-6 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 1-2 years of HR generalist or business partner.Proven experience with policy development, performance management, employee relations and talent acquisition.Experience with coaching, training and change management considered an asset.Skills & KnowledgeStrong knowledge of HR best practices and labour laws including British Columbias employment regulations and standardsAbility to build trust with stakeholders and influence with impactAbility to balance relationship building with expectations and the needs of the businessExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity and working knowledge of HR systems and platformsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to demonstrate and guide coaching and conflict resolutionAbility to analyze and report on P&C metrics to support decision making, innovative solutions and continuous improvementCompensation Package:Salary: $85,000.00 -
