Job Description

Title: TPM (Technical Program Manager ) Location: Vancouver, BC - Office 3 days in a weekDuration: ContractJob Description: • Ability to quickly learn technical product knowledge, especially security-related concepts • Understanding of the product development lifecycle, maturity, and road-mapping exercises. • Experience working on large-scale enterprise initiatives that include multiple impact teams across the enterprise. • Experience leveraging or developing solutions using Information Security-related concepts and Privileged access management. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey messages at different levels – detailed and high-level management • Ability to effectively drive resolution of issues and roadblocks • Highly motivated and proactive to ensure the success of the team and product • High degree of ownership to deliver expected objectives • Comprehensive experience in agile delivery methodologies (scrum, Kanban, etc.) and CI/CD • Deep understanding of the platform, the integration patterns, the organizational capabilities, and the company wide assets that can be leveraged to provide technical solutions to customer problems • Extensive experience in designing and implementing shared web service platforms including front end and backend capabilities. • Demonstrated ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy. • Expert in full stack development and experience with Linux, Golang, Java [J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA] and other coding languages and database concepts. • Good to have working experience with Teleport. • Expert knowledge with the Confluence, Splunk , Rally, Remedy and JIRA tools. • Hands on experience in code reviews and change management. • Well versed in multiple Agile workflow tools, specifically with JIRA • Manages scrum team(s) that will build, operate and maintain software to meet business needs • Obsessed with results, and effectively communicate the objectives and how success will be measured to the team members. • Develop and drive metrics for team delivery through in-house and vendor (SaaS) based tools. • Act as Scrum Master / SAFe agilist and drive all ceremonies • Implement Scaled Agile Framework and / or other Agile methodologies · Enjoys diving deep to understand platform capabilities and underlying technologies. · Proven track record of data driven decision-making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams · Can debate the delivery strategy with business teams, architects, engineers, and designers · Can communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity • Guide, mentor & coach the team(s) on Agile Scrum, SaFe and TDD principles • Remove impediments with the right sense of urgency, or guide teams in doing so • Build a trusting and safe environment for the team where problems are discussed without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving • Coordinate with cross functional teams within MasterCard across locations to ensure project success • Being keenly aware of what is being delivered by the team and why, and the big program picture • Maintain, Radiate and Present project related information, & metrics for leadership review • Coordinate initiatives for automation, defect metrics and overall quality initiatives • Recommend strategic direction, continuous improvements, and policy changes. • Advance operational and business concerns or issues relative to future business programs, projects, or enhancements that may affect consistent delivery of quality services. • Lead Project/Program management activities around cost, schedule, quality etc. • Own collection and reporting of platform metrics Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, ISM or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). • Knowledge of multiple software development concepts and Methodologies • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive result
