What Youll Be Doing Deal Origination: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of royalty acquisition opportunities (freehold and overriding royalty interests) via your Alberta network of operators, brokers, and landowners. Term Sheet Negotiation: Lead negotiations of commercial terms with a focus on optimizing royalty rates, payment schedules, and audit protections. Work closely with legal teams to draft final agreements. Opportunity Assessment: Evaluate deal quality using production data, reserve estimates, and operator financials to ensure IRR targets and downside risk management. Coordinate with internal diligence and modeling teams to validate assumptions. Strategic Execution: Build and refine Lumidas investment strategy targeting stranded wells, reactivations, and off-grid bitcoin mining powered by natural gas. Industry Engagement: Represent Lumida at CAPP and other Alberta energy events. Expand industry presence, track macro and micro trends, and generate educational content to establish Lumidas thought leadership in royalties. What Were Looking For Strong history of originating and executing royalty or asset deals worth $10M$50M+ Experience at E&P companies, royalty acquisition firms, A&D advisory shops, or energy-focused investment roles Deep familiarity with Albertas oil & gas market structure, production dynamics, and operator economics Ability to interface with executives, negotiate win-win terms, and lead with integrity Entrepreneurial drive and desire to be part of a growth-stage investment platform targeting a future public market listing Minimum Qualifications Experience: 812 years in oil & gas business development, A&D, or energy investment roles; deal sheet must reflect material experience in Alberta-based royalty or asset transactions. Skills: Deep deal origination network in Western Canada Expertise in commercial term sheet negotiation Working knowledge of production and reserve evaluation (engineering support provided) Strong relationship and communication skills Education: Bachelors in Business, Finance, Economics, Geology, or related field. Preferred: CAPL (P.Land) designation or equivalent; familiarity with public royalty firms like Freehold Royalties or PrairieSky; exposure to bitcoin mining or on-chain financing is a plus.
