As a faith- and values-based organization, we hire and serve people of all backgrounds and walks of life - there is a place for everyone to belong here.Mission StatementThe Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world.Job DescriptionJob SummaryIn a cooperative team-based environment, the role will provide leadership to a team of fundraising staff, establishing and supervising performance metrics and fundraising strategy to meet the fundraising goals and objectives for the Division, while upholding and promoting the values, policies, procedures, codes of conduct and ethics of The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory.Key AccountabilitiesDevelop and manage the annual Development budget, regularly reviewing financial performance and projections.Collaborate with senior leadership and Territorial Headquarters (THQ) to set strategic, annual, and multi-year fundraising goals and performance metrics.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for fundraising staff, reporting results to divisional and territorial leadership as required.Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing fundraising team to maximize effectiveness and alignment with The Salvation Armys mission.Oversee a comprehensive annual giving program to meet Red Shield revenue targets and elevate The Salvation Armys fundraising profile.Partner with THQ to align divisional annual giving strategies and content with national objectives, including mid-level donor engagement.Direct the Major Gifts and Planned Giving programs, establishing strategies for donor cultivation, stewardship, and systematic moves management.Implement best practices for prospect research and relationship management across individual, corporate, and foundation donors.Develop and execute annual plans for major and planned giving initiatives, setting clear goals and evaluation methods.Lead divisional capital campaign fundraising efforts in collaboration with internal leadership and external consultants.Education And Experience QualificationsPost-graduate degree in fundraising or non-profit sector, with CFRE or other related certification required.Valid certification in First Aid/CPR and Non-violent crisis intervention training or willingness to take upon hiring, if required.7 years of prior related experience in fundraising and/or organization management, preferably with a national/international organizationAlternative combination of education and experience may be considered.Possesses technical expertise in major gifts, planned giving, tax considerations for charitable donations, and estate administration.Proven success in leading fundraising teams to exceed targets, with direct experience in major, campaign, and legacy gift solicitation.Skilled in analyzing donor data and response trends to inform fundraising strategy and decision-making.Experienced in planning and executing capital campaigns and integrated fundraising programs (annual, major, and legacy giving).Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, mentor, and manage high-performing fundraising professionals.Strong background in strategic planning, business development, and managing budgets within a fundraising context.Proficient in CRM tools (preferably Raisers Edge) and possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.Known for professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, customer service, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of engaging volunteers, managing relationships, and representing the organization effectively.CompensationThe target hiring range for this position is $103,466.74 to $129,333.43 with a maximum of $155,200.12.Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.The Salvation Army will provide reasonable accommodation upon request.
