We also take pride in maintaining high standards surrounding equity, diversity, and inclusion in our workplace. ***Purpose of the position*** The position: * Leads, manages and administers all grant acquisitions and administration through various municipal, provincial, federal and private sector streams on behalf of the County * Manages the Rural Renewal and Rural Entrepreneur Streams including promotion, application intakes, stakeholder engagement, and coordination of economic development initiatives * Develops and maintain policies, procedures, and new grant and community developing funding initiatives requested by senior leadership * Assists the General Manager with the annual work plan * Oversees financial controls over expenditures, maintains records, and ensures compliance with grants and community funding budgets * Serves as a subject matter expert and keeps up-to-date on trends and provides advice, support and guidance to management, staff, project teams, and internal/external stakeholder committees as required * Prepares and delivers status updates, financial and program reports to major funding programs senior leadership team * Provides supervision, performance management, training and development, mentoring, and recruitment of direct report staff * Prepares and submits year end financial related to grants and funding streams ***Want to be a part of our County team?*** To be successful in this position, you will possess: * Degree or diploma in Business/Public Administration, Commerce, or a related field * 3 to 5 years related work experience * Superior knowledge of local government or public sector practices and procedures * Superior knowledge of grant development, administration, life cycle, and grant writing * Excellent knowledge of program, policy and procedure development * Exceptional communication, interpersonal, public relations, conflict management, judgement, analytical, and problem solving skills. * Be proficient in working with computer programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
