Job Purpose & Responsibilities This is a full-time, permanent position with the Infrastructure Services Department. Reporting to the Roads Foreman, this position is responsible for: The maintenance, repair, and/or replacement of City street and properties. Using heavy equipment for road repair and maintenance, including sanding, snow removal, grading, and street sweeping. Maintaining signage and street lines. This position is 40 hours a week with a rotating schedule and on-call shifts. The incumbent is required to have flexibility with scheduling. There are opportunities for over-time. Qualifications & Competencies High school diploma or equivalent. Class 3 Operators Licence with Air Brakes required. Equipment Operator training. Grader experience is preferred. 2 years experience in construction, repair and maintenance of roads in a municipal or other government setting is a great asset. Must be willing to provide Drivers Abstract and a Criminal Record Check. More Details Salary for this position is $33.68/hr.
