At Rens Pets, were passionate about people & pets!The Training Advisor plays a critical role in supporting organizational growth by designing, developing, and delivering effective learning and development solutions. Working closely with internal partners, the Training Advisor assesses training needs and creates customized programs aligned with business objectives. They consult with managers and employees to ensure that contentdelivered in online, in-person, or blended formatsmeets the specific needs of various audiences. This full-time 14-month contract role reports to the Manager, Training Team, or their designate.Key responsibilities include:-Assess needs, design, develop and maintain training materials and tools according to priorities identified through business and organizational objectives established in collaboration with various internal partners.-Act as a consultant to internal managers and clients.-Develop, update and implement content related to learning adapted to clienteles and needs in distance, online and face-to-face formats (e.g. content: skills, products, services, training activities, evaluation grids, etc.).-Plan, organize and lead training workshops and activities, in the classroom, on location (i.e. stores, DC, home office), both individually and in groups.-Provides guidance to learners and leaders related to the training content.-Coordinate meetings, lunch and learns, and training sessions related to identified learning solutions.-Manage the training calendar and monitor attendance at face-to-face training courses as a part of the employee career path.-Monitor the progress of activities and collaborate on the key training indicators dashboard (development, updating, communication, etc.).-Evaluate training, its impact and identify opportunities.-Learners' knowledge acquisition and implement learning activities as needed to ensure that learning is in line with internal requirements.-Support other projects, tasks and activities assigned to Human Resources team.-Perform all other related tasks.Key Requirements include:-Be a born ambassador, love teaching and be a natural leader: curiosity keeps you going.-You have a knack for juggling numerous tasks and priorities, and great sense of organization and planning: you adapt easily to change and become a motivating agent in these situations.-Bachelor's degree in human resources or a relevant combination of training and experience. Certificate in Adult Education is an asset.-3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position. Experience in human resources, HRPA &/or I4PL Designation is a strong asset.-Hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel.-Work flexible hours when required, including occasional evenings and weekends.-Comfortable working with the Office suite, IT and eLearning and video authoring and editing tools (i.e. LMS, Asana, Articulate 360, Canva, Camtasia, Adobe, etc.)-Be an outstanding public speaker and communicate fluently in English (French an asset), orally and in writing.Working for Rens Pets in Group Legault:This position is primarily dedicated to the Rens Pets business, but will work in partnership and collaboration with the broader HR team of Group Legault, located in both Ontario and Qubec (Montral);LOCATION: This position is based in the Rens Pets home office located in Puslinch, Ontario, with a requirement to work in the office 2-3 days per week and flexibility to work from home.Occasional travel to store locations, Distribution Centres or other offices may be required.Health Benefits and a Staff Discount.Ren's Pets welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
