We are seeking a highly organized and innovative Packaging Manager to oversee all aspects of primary and secondary packaging development for our skincare product line. This role will be responsible for managing packaging design, development, sourcing, testing, and executionfrom concept to launchensuring that packaging meets brand standards, sustainability goals, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Responsible for the work of the packaging specialist and packaging designer who will report directly to you.Design Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, and Creative teams to bring packaging concepts to life that are functional, brand-aligned, and innovative.Sourcing and Innovation: research and evaluate sustainable packaging solutions. Ideally candidate has a good understanding of new technologies and materials. Present project advances and challenges to key leadership and stakeholders.Technical Oversight: ensure manufacturers and chemist have packaging for compatibility, track testing and results. Provide technical support to manufacturing as it relates to product packaging. Create and maintain test methods and SOPs related to packaging development.Compliance: Ensure packaging meets all regulatory, environmental, and labeling requirements for domestic and international markets.Supplier Management: maintain relationships with current vendors and source and develop relationships with potential new vendors. Support Product Engineering to assess commercial line feasibility for new primary packaging and coordination of line trials with suppliers.Documentation: maintain accurate product specifications, BOMS, product releases to supply chain, change requests, packaging changes, approvals and packaging dockets and libraryEducation: attend Alumier brand training, packaging seminars and courses, tradeshows (will involve international travel). Qualifications:College/University degree specializing in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design or a similar disciplineMUST have 5+ years of experience in the skincare, cosmetics or personal care industry with a proven history of taking new products to marketStrong understanding of materials (plastics, glass, paperboard, etc), filling lines and manufacturing processesExperience working with sustainable packaging solutions and eco-friendly materials.Familiarity with international packaging regulations (Health Canada, FDA, EU, etc)Proficiency in packaging software (eg.
