As they continue to expand, they are seeking talented professionals to join their high-performing maintenance team.Position Summary:We are seeking a Licensed Electrician (309A or 442A) with proven experience in food or CPG manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal plant performance. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a larger cross-functional team.Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, controls, and industrial equipment, including motors, conveyors, PLCs, packaging lines, and production machinery. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and technical documentation (schematics, diagrams, manuals). Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures by applicable codes and safety standards. Support production by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring a fast and safe response to breakdowns or malfunctions. Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to implement process improvements and root cause analysis initiatives. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Adhere to company health and safety standards, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and other regulatory requirements. Assist in capital projects, upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment as needed.Qualifications: Valid Ontario Electrical License 309A (Construction and Maintenance) or 442A (Industrial Electrician) is required. Minimum 35 years of industrial electrical experience, ideally in a food processing, beverage, or CPG manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of industrial automation, PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), motor control systems, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Solid knowledge of ESA, OHSA, and other applicable safety and electrical codes. Experience with CMMS systems is an asset.
