Job Description

**JOB REQUIREMENTS:** * Excellent customer service. * Adaptable to change and be able to handle multiple priorities under pressure. * Eager and focused to exceed guest expectations. * Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills * Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment * Strong communication skills * Strong computer knowledge (experience with Opera is an asset) * Able to work both independently and a team environment * Knowledge of Calgary, the tourist attractions * Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing * Opera experience required * Class 5 Driver License **DUTIES:** * Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location * Ensure valid identification is taken from guests at check-in * Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner * Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue * Answer all guest calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns * Record guest preferences in the PMS system * Check guests out, including resolving any late or disputed charges * Accurately process all guest transactions using established procedures * Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring * Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines * Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior * Must be available to work flexible shifts and weekends * Drive airport shuttle * Maintain cleanliness in the public area such as lobby, pool & washroom **Job Summary:** * Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments * Register arriving guests and assign rooms * Answer enquiries regarding hotel services by email * Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment. * Post all daily room and outstanding charges. * Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $15.50-$16.00 per hour Schedule: * 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
