McEwen Mining Inc. has four producing mines, located in Nevada, Ontario, Mexico, and Argentina, and also has exposure to copper through its subsidiary McEwen Copper, owner of the large Los Azules copper deposit in Argentina. McEwen Mining currently has an opening at our Fox Complex Project for an: Engineering Manager Reporting to the Project Director (Grey Fox), the Engineering Manager will provide guidance and technical leadership within a project advancement team focussed on the technical definition, permitting and subsequent construction of the Grey Fox Project. This role shall have a focus on engineering processes, maturity assessment, risk management and scheduling across the technical aspects of this near-term future operation. The role also includes mine planning and optimization, geotechnical, hydrogeological, geology, mining infrastructure, capital cost estimation and technical report writing to support safe, sustainable, and profitable mining operations. They must be a committed team player with a strong knowledge of and dedication to safety and production methods. Other duties will be assigned as per operational needs. Operational / Technical Execution: Serves as primary engineering liaison between corporate leadership, site teams and external stakeholders (consultants, regulators, JV partners). Leads the coordination of cross-functional teams to ensure that fully integrated mine plans are developed. Oversees risk management and interface management in a cross-functional team. Validates design criteria, participates in risk assessments, and ensures costeffective solutions are aligned with lifeofmine plans. Provides technical oversight and expertise in all aspects of mining methods and major projects. General Administration and Controls: Conduct and lead staff meetings as required. Shapes management systems and standards across all mine technical disciplines. Methodically challenges conventional thinking with new mining technologies and automation to improve safety and productivity. Provides coaching and mentorship to more junior engineers. Qualifications and Skills Requirement: Legal to work within Canada. PMP considered an asset. University degree in Engineering. P. Eng, P.E., or similar designation Minimum of 15 years minimum in the mining industry. Expertise in Underground mining, Open Pit mining and Infrastructure construction. Previous supervisory experience would be considered an asset. Ability to coach site engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Able to manage multiple priorities at one time as well as deliver results under tight deadlines or high-pressure situations. Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems. Self-starter with a solid technical background and proven troubleshooting skills. Proficient in technical aspects of Engineering Management, Cost Management, and Project Scheduling. High level of computer and software literacy as well as excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Good safety knowledge and understanding with the ability to recognize, reduce or eliminate hazards and situations that may cause problems. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and presentation skills. The ability to work positively with a team of professional and technical people in a changing, creative, and energetic environment whether in person or virtually. Must be willing to travel for work. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
