Our client, a leading Tier 1 manufacturing supplier is looking for Millwrights to join their team in Guelph. Preference is given to those Millwrights with automotive press experience. This position is straight afternoons.RESPONSIBILITIES:Understanding of Machinery installation, assembly, maintenance, service, repair, and overhaulComprehending blueprints, drawings and specifications manualsFabricating machine parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-upStart-up and testing, Shutdown operations, Renovating and restoring, Rigging and handlingCentering and setting to elevation, Bearing, seals and packingTroubleshooting of computer controlled equipment and application of resolutionStainless steel welding, Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), obtaining Hot Work TicketsApplication of Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) techniquesWorking with Conveyors, Gas plant and shop compressors, Pumps and compressors, Hoists and other lifting devicesOperate Grinders, Welding equipment, Gas and air dryers, Heat exchangers, Automated and robotics systems, Electrical and electronic controls, Lathes and other machining tools, Power tools, Fans and blowers, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems as requiredUtilization of Power transmission systems, Press brakes and metalworking equipmentDetection of irregularities and malfunctions, Construct foundations for machineryEstimate time and material required and obtain from storesInstalling and adjusting machinery and equipment safelyPlan and organize job tasks and job materials using a systemic processReading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communicationContinuously learning and adapting to changing and new equipment maintenance skills as requiredSupport company IATF 16949 initiativesJOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge/Skill/Experience):Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal EndorsementAt least 3 years related experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably automotive; preference given to individuals with press experienceUnion experience an assetStrong Mechanical and Assembly SkillsHands on instrumentation troubleshooting an assetExperience with hydraulic systems a definite assetKnowledge of basic electrical theory an assetBasic software knowledge requiredGood communication skills requiredOvertime paid after 40 hours worked per week. Double time on Sundays and Holidays. Overtime required based on production demands. Shift Premium paid.
