Our client, a leading Tier 1 manufacturing supplier is looking for Industrial Electrician (309A/442A) to join their team. Preference is given to those Industrial Electricians with automotive experience. Competitive wages and benefits in a growing company! Position is steady afternoons with shift premiums offered.RESPONSIBILITIES: Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair all aspects of electrical components and machinery Reference equipment manuals for set-up and operation Knowledge and application of ESA/CSA standards pertaining to electrical safety and safeguarding of machinery Work with the Engineering and Maintenance team to increase efficiency, production quality, and volume Monitor to keep injection molding and assembly equipment in good working condition Adjust production machinery and equipment to provide safe and efficient operation Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance on a timely basis while keeping machine downtime to a minimumOperate equipment safely following LOTO, Working at HeightsTroubleshoot and diagnose potential mechanical problems and breakdowns using communication devicesRepair machinery and equipment as required and report unsafe work conditions to supervisor immediatelyTrouble-shoot electrical/logic issues as required for equipment, implementing permanent corrective actionsFollows policies and procedures in accordance with EH&S and IATF standards with respect to quality of work, maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and protection of the environmentUsually works indoors, but may on occasion work outsideJOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge/Skill/Experience):High School Education with valid Electrical License (309A or 442A)2-3 years related experience in Manufacturing/Automotive environmentAbility to read English, interpret and work from detailed electrical schematics and manualsExperience in trouble shooting and repairing electrical / mechanical problemsRobotics, PLC and HMI Experience requiredAbility to work shifts (Days, Afternoons or Midnights)Ability to work regularly scheduled overtime as requiredCOMPETENCIES:Ability to distinguish colour of wiringRead and comprehend written instructionsProcess improvementMath, statistics and analytical thinkingEffective communicationInterpersonal skillsProblem solving and decision makingTeamwork and collaborationAccountability and responsibilityCustomer Quality focusTroubleshooting tools and techniquesControl of Non-conforming ProductUnderstand Plant KPIsCritical thinking and problem solving tools & techniquesMODERN Staffing is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of any of the protected reasons as described in the Ontario Human Rights Code.
