Position: Learning OfficerResume Due Date: Thursday, July 03, 2025 (5:00PM EST)Number of Vacancies: 1Level: MP4Duration: 4 MonthsHours of work: 35Location: 889 Brock Road, Pickering (100% remote)Job OverviewDeliver training solutions that include e-learning design and development, instructor-led training demo sessions (virtual), job aids, and self-study training guidesPartner with senior leaders, HRBP's, and business unit management, provide advice, guidance, and services in the planning of leadership training and development activitiesDesign and develop learning programs focused on the needs of OPG's managers and leaders to reinforce and further develop leadership skills in the organizationTranslate management and organizational theory into practice through learning programs. Identify target populations for whom programs are intended.Understand development needs, define learning objectives, and develop program models, methods, materials, and content. Test new learning programs with business leaders to gather buy-in and validate appropriateness to ensure the programs meet the needs of the businessAssist in the develop and maintenance of training project plans for the implementation of systems training (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central), collaborate with the stakeholders, subject matter experts and process leadsQualificationsMinimum 6 years of progressive experience; focus in learning and development with strong experience and exposure to adult learningAdvanced knowledge of training video creation using programs such as Camtasia, Articulate (Storyline and Rise), and Powtoons. Consultative approach, expertise in designing, developing, implementing, and facilitating learning programs (in-class and virtual) Experience effectively managing learning programs in the areas of leadership development, management skills, and behaviors is considered an assetProficiency in MS Office (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook), advanced skills specifically using PowerPoint, creating engaging presentations, and training materialExperience working for an organization with a highly technical workforce/unionized environment is considered an asset; and Previous experience working for a highly regulated industry such as utilities, energy, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, health care, telecommunications, financial services, or public sector (Broader Public Services, Municipal, Provincial and or Federal Government) is preferred.Working knowledge of Al tool for Learning design, SAP SuccessFactors, Learning Module and Employee Central an asset.
