Job Title: Senior Specialist Threat Management - Cloud Access & Protection Municipal Government in Toronto Employment Type: Full-time (35 hours per week, 7 hours per day) Duration: Full Time, Permanent Consider Your Next Contract with Aliant Resources and the Client, in the Greater Toronto Area. To support the execution of the Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) mandate, cyber vision and strategy, providing technical and business advice, support and services on Threat Management cyber programs and initiatives to all City divisions, agencies and corporations. To define, develop and support Threat Management cyber programs and initiatives, engaging with teams across the organization to build alignment on key projects and develop execution roadmaps. Lead design, deployment, and assessment of cloud security solutions (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Conduct cloud architecture reviews, threat modelling, and risk assessments. Develop and implement cloud security standards, policies, and controls. Provide technical leadership and training to internal teams on cloud security best practices. Oversee project staff and contractors, including performance and team coordination. Collaborate across departments and with senior leadership on risk mitigation strategies. Post-secondary degree in Technology, Business, or related field. ~6+ years of experience in Cloud Security & Threat Management. ~ Experience conducting security assessments and implementing controls in cloud environments. ~ Note: *Subject to a police check, background check, psychological assessment and/or any other checks on a regular basis as the Office of the CISO handles highly sensitive and confidential information.
