Applicants from these equity-priority groups may self-identify in their application.Corporate Paralegal | Halifax, NSWe are currently looking for a Corporate Paralegal to support our Corporate Services team in our Halifax Office.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and organize Nova Scotia and Federal incorporations, both share and non-sharePrepare documents relating to corporate reorganizationsAttend to the registration of Limited PartnershipsAttend to the extra provincial registration of entities inside and outside of Nova ScotiaPrepare routine resolutionsReview and maintain corporate minute booksSubmit filings with the provincial corporate registries, Industry Canada, and other licensing authoritiesAttend to tracking and compliance matters relating to various licensing regulatorsProcess due diligence requestsPrepare and file PPSA registrationsAttend to filings through SEDAR+Contribute to the mentorship and training of other firm membersRecord billable and non-billable timeAttend to other duties as assignedSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 5 years of corporate paralegal experienceExcellent technical skills and exceptional attention to detailSelf-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environmentStrong competency in the usage of MS Office SuiteStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlinesAbility to use good judgment and be resourcefulAbility to communicate in a professional manner with colleagues and clientsWillingness to learn and contribute to the teamKnowledge of Athennian, an assetAPPLYIf this sounds like you, please apply online by submitting your resume and a cover letter explaining how your experience and skills can help us achieve our mission.
