We are currently seeking a motivated contractor inside sales representative to gain market. We are seeking a Building Materials Consultantwho is driven to work closely with contractors, homebuilders and self-builders by developing new relationships and growing accounts through leveraging our specialty lines: Lumber, Drywall, Insulation, Roofing, Masonry and Window & Doors. Major Duties and Responsibilities Provide the highest level of service to all customers; Always maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers; Advises customers by providing knowledge of products and services; Ensure special order products are ordered in a timely manner following correct ordering procedures; Follows-up on estimates, special orders and products ordered for customers; Comply with company''s pricing policies and procedures; Work with other team members and leaders to ensure a high-quality customer experience; Deal directly with vendors and complete special orders as required; Drive sales through engagement of customers, consultative sales, and sharing of product knowledge; Clarify and understand customers needs and provide them with the best solution(s) for their projects; Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions; Take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions; Produces quotes, material lists and complete follow up with customers; Resolve customer challenges quickly and efficiently; Maintains knowledge on products and market conditions; Works closely with Head Office for special pricing; Strong communication with management and foreman for upcoming projects to ensure inventory is available in a timely manner. Requirements A strong foundation in sales and customer service; Problem solver who can work with minimal supervision; Excellent communication and team player; Confident, persuasive, energetic and self-motivated; Organized, can manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and sales objectives; Microsoft Office skills and willingness to learn new software programs; A knowledge of building materials and the construction process is essential; Able to quickly develop a trusting relationship with new customers, and build rapport with existing customers by providing quality customer service and maintaining service standards; Strong verbal and written communication; Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently and with a team; Organizational/planning and analytical skills; Exceptional leadership skills; Know how to plan and coordinate.
