The Executive Chef oversees all kitchen operations, including menu creation, food preparation, and staff management, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. This role is crucial in defining and delivering high-quality food with a hands-on approach as needed, maintaining a professional, safe, and efficient kitchen environment to satisfy and exceed residence expectations. Conducts walk-through of kitchen to assess cleanliness, assesses stock and production status; Assists in kitchen hiring, routine written performance appraisals, discipline and terminations. Teaches culinary skills and proper technique, trains and supervises team members on all kitchen procedures; Operates and maintains the working order of all kitchen equipment. Strong knowledge and attention to detail on kitchen operations, with ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. Experience working in a long-term and or Retirement facility. upholds the highest quality standards for food, service management and kitchen operations.
