Job Title: Part-Time Vice President, Finance - 2 Days in a week Schedule: 2 days on-site per week (they have their team meetings on-site every Wednesday) Company: Privately Held (ASPE Reporting) - Publishing Industry A strategic and hands-on VP of Finance to join the senior management team on a part-time basis. This is a high-impact role for a finance leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about driving clarity, strategy, and process improvement. What Youll Do: Act as a fully integrated member of the leadership team, attending senior management meetings (on-site Wednesdays). Analyze and enhance financial and operational processes to support strategic decision-making. Review business strategies and assess financial implications. Conduct detailed financial analysis (e.g., cost per journal/paper, pricing strategy, forecasting). Identify governance, risk, and treasury-related issues and recommend solutions. Coach and mentor both finance and cross-functional team members. Contribute to process mapping initiatives and operational efficiency improvements. Ensure financial compliance and accurate reporting under ASPE. What You Bring: Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally in a private company environment. Strong knowledge of ASPE and financial reporting. A strategic mindset with hands-on analytical capabilities. Comfortable working in a part-time, high-impact capacity.
