We are proud to partner with Patten Homes, a division of the Cavanagh Group of Companies, in the search for a Vice President of Homebuilding - a pivotal executive role with the mandate to scale operations from a small to mid-sized builder over the next several years. This growth is backed by a multi-generational land pipeline and the full resources of a respected, family-owned enterprise with over 70 years of legacy in construction and land development. Your new role As Vice President, you will be the driving force behind Patten Homes growth trajectory-leading strategy, operations, construction, and customer experience. Reporting directly to the Vice President of the Cavanagh Group, you will oversee a high-potential team and play a hands-on role in transforming a well-established builder into a market leader in tract home development. This is more than an operational role-its a builders role. Key Responsibilities Strategic Growth: Shape and execute a vision to grow the business over the coming years. Operational Excellence: Oversee construction, procurement, and site management across multiple active communities. Sales & Marketing Leadership: Elevate brand presence and customer engagement through strategic sales and marketing oversight. Financial Stewardship: Drive profitability through smart budgeting, forecasting, and vendor negotiations. Team Building: Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team with a culture of accountability, innovation, and pride in product. What you''ll need to succeed To be considered for this important position, your background should consist of 10+ years in residential homebuilding, ideally as a Vice President, General Manager or Division Leader. You should have proven experience scaling operations and delivering high-quality homes on time and on budget. You must possess strong knowledge and experience of Ontario building codes, land development, and municipal processes. You should be a builder at heart-with a passion for product, people, and performance. You must also have a background in Sales & Marketing or Operations with a growth mindset.
