Accounting Leadership Role About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee the preparation and review of monthly property financial statements for a designated portfolio, including: Journal entry approvals Recovery reconciliations and shortfall analysis Revenue, NOI/SANOI/FFO/AFFO, and balance sheet analysis Bank and sales tax reconciliations The selected candidate will also be responsible for reviewing and compiling property-related financial data for quarterly financial statements and MD&A reporting. Additional duties include finalizing annual operating cost and property tax recovery reconciliations, liaising with external auditors, providing leadership and support in preparing the annual operating budget, and contributing to the development and analysis of consolidated budget schedules. Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of property accounting experience within commercial or retail real estate. At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Strong understanding of budgeting, full-cycle accounting, and commercial lease terminology. Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation required. Proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, or JD Edwards. Advanced Excel skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Word.
