About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee the preparation and review of monthly financial statements. This includes journal entry approvals, recovery reconciliations, revenue analysis, bank and sales tax reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial lease terminology, budgeting, and full-cycle accounting. They will be responsible for reviewing and compiling property-related financial data for quarterly financial statements and MD&A reporting. Oversee the preparation and review of monthly financial statements Review and compile property-related financial data for quarterly financial statements and MD&A reporting Finalize annual operating cost and property tax recovery reconciliations Liaise with external auditors and respond to audit-related inquiries Provide leadership and support in preparing the annual operating budget and review budget submissions Key Skills and Qualifications Minimum 7 years of property accounting experience within commercial or retail real estate At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role Strong understanding of budgeting, full-cycle accounting, and commercial lease terminology Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA designation required Proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, or JD Edwards What We Offer A competitive salary range of $110,000 - $125,000 per year is offered for this role.
