Position Overview Fraser Crossing Partners, a joint venture between Aecon and Acciona, is constructing a new four-lane cable-stayed bridge over the Fraser River, connecting New Westminster and Surrey. The project includes connecting roadways, grade separations, and the removal of the existing bridge. Reporting to the EHS Manager, the EHS Advisor will promote health, safety, and environmental culture in line with Aecons policies. The Pattullo Bridge project is located in the lower mainland, connecting Surrey and New Westminster. Key Responsibilities Conduct site-specific safety orientations. Train staff on Aecons HSE Manual and safety procedures. Coordinate safety training (e.g., fall protection, WHMIS, First Aid). Conduct inspections, audits, and behavioral observations. Develop safety plans and emergency procedures. Distribute safety materials and conduct safety presentations. Participate in safety committees and liaise with government agencies. Assist with accident investigations, claims, and return-to-work programs. Coordinate environmental issues and support tender preparations. Required Knowledge and Experience 3-5 years in construction health and safety roles. CRSP and / or COR certification preferred. Knowledge of WorkSafe BC legislation. Ability to work night shifts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Valid drivers license with a clean record. The salary range is $90,000 - $105,000.
