Position Summary Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the Finance Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the Agricultural Adaptation Council (AAC). This includes managing general accounting activities, financial reporting, and budget administration to support both organizational and program-related financial needs. The Finance Administrator plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of AACs accounting systems, ensuring timely reconciliation, managing internal and external financial reporting, and supporting the organizations audit and compliance processes. This position collaborates closely with internal staff, management, auditors, applicants, and vendors, and may also contribute to Canlead Solutions assignments as required. Job Responsibilities Perform daily accounting tasks for both the Agricultural Adaptation Council (AAC) , including accounts receivable, accounts payable and banking Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the accounting system. Responsible for month end financial reconciliation, preparing financial reports and management reporting. Lead the development of AACs annual budget Manage the annual budget including conducting monthly variance analysis coding invoices, preparing monthly management reports and quarterly board reports Lead the preparation for the year-end audit and financial statements Process government returns, including T4As and HST, returns Responsible for all bank transactions, monitoring daily account activity, and daily bank entries Collaborates with internal staff, management and external stakeholders including auditors, applicants and vendors May be required to provide support for, or assume responsibility of, the claims review process as operational needs evolve Complete other operational and strategic tasks, as required by the organization Process project payments and input payment data into SmartSimple Input project information into Sage 300 and balancing to SmartSimple on a monthly basis Support program financial reporting including preparation of financial information and program budget variance analysis Complete other tasks related to program financial administration, as required by the organization Support Canlead Solutions, including Be assigned to complete Canlead Solutions duties to service contractual obligations of AAC, on an as needed basis. This may involve work at the client location(s), the assignments may vary from time to time in terms of assignments to various clients and client needs, and the time commitment required may vary over time. Such assignments may be frequent or infrequent as business needs arise during the course of employment. Flexibility to undertake and complete such assignments is required.
