MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Solution Architect for a permanent role with a client of ours located in Burnaby (Hybrid set-up 2 days on site and 3 days remote).Who you are :Youre an experienced architect and developer whos passionate about building scalable, maintainable, and secure systemsYou lead by exampletranslating best practices into practical implementation, mentoring team members, and holding the bar high for code qualityYoure a forward thinker who keeps current with evolving technologies, frameworks, and compliance standards like PCI and TQSYou thrive on collaboration, balancing big-picture architectural vision with detailed system design and developmentYou communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, from developers to senior stakeholdersYou take pride in solving complex problems and improving system performance, security, and reliabilityWhat youll do :Define, implement, and enforce software development best practices, standards, and design patterns across teamsLead architectural design for both new initiatives and enhancements to existing business systemsAct as a technical mentor, conducting code reviews and ensuring compliance with security and quality standardsWork hands-on in application development (50% of your time) using technologies such as Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and ASP.NET CoreIdentify and resolve design or performance issues in critical business systemsGuide teams through TQS and PCI compliance requirements, auditing processes, and recommending remediation strategiesCollaborate with IS Leadership to align technical initiatives with the broader IS Strategic PlanServe as a Subject Matter Expert on Change Control Review Boards and key architectural decisionsLead data architecture initiatives including data modeling, flow analysis, and design for integration and reportingBuild and automate testing and monitoring solutions to ensure ongoing product qualityCoordinate technical resources on key projects and act as a liaison between architecture and development teamsPerform business system analysis or data architecture duties as neededStay current with emerging trends and technologies to continuously drive innovation and modernizationWhat you bring :Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experienceSitecore XM Cloud Developer Certification10+ years of hands-on experience in application development using Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and .NET technologies4+ years in a solution or enterprise architect role with a strong focus on scalable system designDeep understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, and design patternsExperience leading root cause analysis and resolving system-wide technical issuesSolid knowledge of application server configuration, database modeling, and systems integratioDemonstrated ability to enforce standards that improve performance, maintainability, and compliancExperience working within PCI, TQS, or similar regulatory frameworksExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to translate architecture into actionTechnical Strengths include :Backend : Node.js, Fastify, ASP.NET Core, API development and integrationCloud & Infrastructure : AWS, Vercel, Sitecore CMDatabase : MS SQL Server, advanced SQL, NoSQStrong architectural design and modeling capabilities for n-tier web-based systemsExperience developing and enforcing secure and efficient integration standards across platformsBonus Skills :Ability to translate business goals into technical architecture strategiesExperience applying statistical or research methods to evaluate and optimize system performanceStrong organizational, analytical, and facilitation skillProven track record of proactively resolving issues and driving technical consensusFor more current job opportunities, Follow MatchBox at linkedin.com / company / matchbox-recruitment /About MatchBoxHeadquartered in downtown Vancouver and serving clients nationally, MatchBox is one of the leading recruitment and solutions firms that specializes in the fields of IT & Technology, Engineering & Technical, Real Estate & Construction, and Accounting & Finance.
