In addition, Applied provides engineering, design and systems integration for industrial, fluid power, and flow control applications, as well as customized mechanical, fabricated rubber, fluid power, and flow control shop services.Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of General Manager at our Clairmont, AB location.Reporting to the Regional Manager, as the General Manager you will have P&L responsibility over your location(s), allowing you to showcase not only your sales development, strategic planning, and project management skills, but also your abilities to lead, coach, and mentor the inside sales, outside sales, service and support staff. This role will be a champion for safety and overall strategic direction of your staff and will differentiate through superior customer service. If you relish the idea of serving industrial B2B customers through everything, from personal outside sales calls to strategic planning, and team coaching/motivation efforts, this could be the perfect career choice for you!Roles And ResponsibilitiesResponsible for directing, planning and managing overall center activities including, asset management, profitability and growth, outside sales, programs and activities related to product promotions, office and warehouse functions, and customer service. Direct accountability for service center profit/loss.Direct and manage centers sales activities including, developing sales objectives and strategies; identifying and evaluating new customers, market conditions and competitive pressures. Identify opportunities, make recommendations to management and implement plans to maximize sales, increase margins and expand market share.Manage and assist in developing sales expertise and knowledge of product lines.Lead and champion a safe and healthy work environmentDetermine sales force account assignments, monitor and review sales performance, including goals achievement, margin improvement, customer complaints and territory management.Attend sales calls within the territory, maintain customer relations and be engaged in direct sales activitiesPrepare and develop annual center (s) operating budget reports including items such as forecasts, sales, margins, expenses, productivity and inventory.Work closely with other departments, divisions or associates on matters of mutual concern and responsibilities.Education And ExperienceCompleted post-secondary education or significant industry experiencePrior management experience is requiredSales cycle experience, B2B preferableShop Experience and/or a technical background would be an assetLocal market knowledgeExcellent communication skills written and verbalDemonstrated decision making and leadership abilitiesAbility to work independently to take responsibility for day-to-day tasks of operating the service centre (s) and driving salesProficient computer skills SAP experience is an assetYou Will Be Part Of a Stable And Established Company With Consistently Strong Performance And Growth.
