The incumbent will also help to maintain existing systems & infrastructure by providing proactive & urgent operational support and guidance to technical resources.Key responsibilities includeArchitecting, engineering, implementing, deploying and supporting complex portable and integrated hardware/software AV Systems & Technology with respect to On-premise and Virtual event/meeting production, video conferencing & web casting, video walls, digital signage, content management systems and wayfinding solutions.Acting as and providing Subject Matter Expertise to Coordinators, Technicians, Clients, Departments, Project Managers, Contractors, Suppliers and Partners.Research, development, procurement and deployment of innovative technical solutions that meet or exceed to client expectations.Creating, modifying, verifying and updating plan & design drawings, BOMs, SOWs, RFPs, presentations and reports.Active and proactive attention to ensure the safety, security, reliability, and availability of Audio-Visual technologies in the operating environment.Planning, coordinating, and overseeing hardware and software installations, upgrades, maintenance, repairs, and support services.Monitoring, responding to, and resolving incidents, service requests and escalations.Training, supporting, guiding, and advising clients, suppliers, staff and student technical teams.Ability to decipher and understand needs, requirements, and specifications to determine the optimal course of action and provide thoughtful and expeditious solutions to complex technical issues.Installation, programming, configuration, setup and integration of technical devices and components.Documenting and sharing knowledge, experience and best practices while working collaboratively alongside team members.Providing quality assurance on all tasks, project phases and deliverables.Find Your Spot at HumberAt Humber, we are a vibrant, diverse community of professionals dedicated to providing an exceptional learning experience for our students. If This Sounds Like You, Keep Reading:EducationFour (4) year post-secondary degree in Audio-Visual Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems & Network Administration (or equivalent)Experience/SkillsMinimum of five (5) years of work experience in Audio-Visual systems design, Broadcast systems & technologies, Live Event Staging & Lighting, Live & Studio Audio engineering, and Enterprise class Digital Signage solutions.Developed AV-IT acumen, troubleshooting and multitasking skills as well as superior attention to detail, quality control, problem solving and leadership skills.Strong communication, organisation skills and a friendly, team-centric collaborative mindset is required. The candidate will also demonstrate business professionalism, customer service excellence and the ability to multitask operational work with priority projects running in parallel.Certifications in CTS, Crestron/Extron, BiAmp/QSC, NDI, DANTE, also installation and service from popular manufacturers is preferred.
