This position manages the GN's HR and Payroll systems, supporting organizational management, compensation, and benefits for GN departments and public agencies, overseeing over 4000 employees with an approximate budget of $500 million. The role is critical in preventing system disruptions and involves staff management, including recruiting, training, coaching, and performance appraisal.The Manager's responsibilities include:Managing HR and Payroll IT and computer systemsPlanning, organizing, controlling, and evaluating data operations and system integrationsMonitoring system performance and recommending improvementsDesigning and implementing system policies and proceduresLeading IT projects for HR & Payroll systemsDefining IT infrastructure strategy and processesEnsuring data security and system backupsAligning systems with organizational policiesPartnering with stakeholders to develop solutionsAssessing vendors and developing test strategiesAuditing systems and troubleshooting issuesQualifications include an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields, plus three years of HR and payroll system administration experience, and one year of management experience in an enterprise-level financial system. A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required.Applicants may submit resumes in Inuktut, English, or French. Fluency in multiple official languages and knowledge of Inuit culture are assets. Consideration may be given to candidates with equivalent education and experience.
