We are on a relentless pursuit to lead the transition to renewable energy for a cleaner, more sustainable future. We are looking for a Director of Transportation to join our growing team. Develop and implement transportation strategies aligned with company objectives and customer service expectations. Lead initiatives to optimize routes, reduce costs, improve delivery timelines, and enhance sustainability. Manage daily transportation operations, including third-party logistics providers. Work with EHS to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards for transportation Foster a safety-focused, performance-driven culture. Develop and manage transportation budgets, forecasts, and cost-control initiatives. Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, leasing companies, and service providers. Maintain strong communication with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure delivery performance and satisfaction. Resolve transportation-related issues and implement preventive measures. Evaluate and lead the implement transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and automation tools. Identify and drive process improvements through data and analytics. Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. ~8-10+ years of progressive experience in transportation, and logistics ~ Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, freight logistics, and fleet operations, Canada and US ~ Proven leadership experience managing large teams and multimodal transportation networks. ~ Proficient with TMS platforms and data analytics tools. ~ Transportation fleets are converting from diesel fuel to alternative fuels for powering their fleets.
