Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License, Provisional Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership, Mandatory Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC), Eligible. Role and Facility Information Fraser Health Authority (FHA) and the Mental Health and Substance Use Program are seeking a psychiatrist. This position involves a combination of inpatient psychiatry at Chilliwack General Hospital and community psychiatry in the Chilliwack, Agassiz, and Hope communities, with a primary focus on adult psychiatry. The successful candidate will be part of multidisciplinary teams across all sites, responsible for delivering high-quality care to general psychiatric patients. Duties include assessment, treatment, consultation, family meetings, case conferences, discharge planning, and collaboration with other physicians and teams. The role also involves promoting continuity of care, fostering positive relationships, advocating for patients'' psychiatric needs, and participating in ECT and on-call rotations. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the medical education program for University of British Columbia (UBC) undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. Once licensed by CPSBC, arrangements will be made to apply for a clinical appointment with the UBC Department of Psychiatry.
