We are hiring Automation Technologist for a manufacturing client in Dawson Creek, BC. You will design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems, often working with engineers and other professionals to ensure efficient operation and reliability. Responsibilities: Assist in designing and installing automated cells or systems, often working with engineers to implement robotic or autonomous systems. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated systems and equipment, including servo systems, sensors, and control components. Conduct tests and analyses to evaluate the performance, strength, and reliability of automated systems and components. Maintain records of equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance, and report on automation capabilities and status to leadership. Work with engineers, technicians, and other specialists to design, develop, and maintain automated systems. Identify and resolve issues with automated systems, often requiring creative and effective problem-solving skills. May be involved in programming or modifying control systems, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
