Your journey begins here - become a part of our NTS team today!Contact our team of in-house Recruiters: 1-866-4-TRIMAC Pay Details: Trailer Mechanic starting pay $35.10 - $41.38 per hour (based on experience)$2.00 shift premium for the overnight shift Schedule: Night shift, 5:30 pm to 5:30 am7 days on, 7 days off Monday- Sunday Job Details: Safe and professional work practices are mandatoryDemonstrated ability to read and understand written instructions and communications and write job reports, work order summaries, and other record-keeping functionsAbility to analyze and solve complex technical problems (troubleshoot)Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, exercise good judgment and common sense and conduct him/herself professionallyDemonstrated good interpersonal and oral communication skillsMust be physically fit and of reasonable strength and endurance to perform the duties required in a tanker trailer shop operationAble to perform duties in all weather conditionsPhysical Demands include lifting, carrying, pulling/pushing, and climbing stairsThe majority of work is conducted in a Shop Environment with some light administration work occasionally required Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Shop Manager, this incumbent will utilize journeyman-level technical knowledge and expertise to perform complex mechanical tasks in the repair, maintenance, inspection, and certification of Trimac Energy Services' tanker trailer fleet with minimal supervisionPreventative maintenance on the truck, but must be open to work on trailers as wellPreventative maintenance on checking tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, clutch/linkage, brakes, and suspensionFollow safety and use of proper PPEFollow procedures Qualifications: Level 2-4 mechanic apprenticeGrade 12 graduateFull understanding of all relevant safety and compliance regulations, policies, and generally accepted work practices relating to tanker trailer shop operationsFull understanding of all elements of the job (i.e., shop safety, shop work practices, mechanical systems, use of all hand and power)Computer keyboarding skills and a basic understanding of computer business systems is desirable Benefits: Paid orientation and trainingPension Plan enrollment after 1 year of serviceHoliday and vacation payMedical, dental, and vision insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramLife Insurance & Disability Insurance Additional Perks: $250/yr boot allowance after 1 year of service $600/yr tool allowance after 1 year of servicePension Plan enrollment after 1 year of service Safety Commitments: We make safety a part of every decisionWe make safety personalWe have the courage to intervene Pay Range: CAD $35.10 - CAD $41.38 /Hr.
