About the OpportunityFinancial Responsibilities:All accounting and bookkeeping functions (A/R, A/P, and billing)Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingRecord and track commissions earnedDevelopment and maintenance of internal control policies and procedures for expensesTracking and billing reimbursable expensesBank account management including deposits and reconciliationsPreparation of financial information for the year end and coordination with the accounting firm for the completion of the corporate tax returnAttend monthly financial touchpoint meetingsGeneral Ledger account reconciliationsTimely and accurate monthly financial statement prepared using accrual accountingAppropriate income tax schedules / working papers required at year end, with support of third party tax advisorsMaintain fixed asset continuity schedulesWork with TOLC Finance staffOther duties as assignedPayroll Responsibilities:Payroll and related submissions (CRA pay deductions, EHT, T4s and T2000s)Quarterly HST filingTrack team vacation timePrepare and issue ROEs as requiredOther duties as assignedAbout YouPost-secondary business degree and recent certification or working towards a professional accounting designationMinimum of three (3) years progressive experience in financeStrong knowledge of computer systems - Must be proficient with MS Office (Advanced skills in Excel and macros)Thorough understanding of general accounting principlesStrong analytical skills with attention to detail are required.
