Operations Laboratory Manager Location: Vancouver, BCFull-Time | PermanentSalary: ~$110,000 per annum - negotiable Join a Leading Name in Environmental & Analytical Testing Help Build a State-of-the-Art Lab from the Ground UpThis company is seeking an experienced Operations Laboratory Manager to lead the setup and ongoing operations of their brand-new facility in Vancouver. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a cutting-edge lab, contribute to environmental excellence, and build and lead a high-performing team.Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day lab operations across multiple analytical disciplines Water, Soil, and Tissue.Lead and support lab set-up, including instrument procurement and installation.Manage and scale a multidisciplinary team lab staff.Ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols, SOPs, and regulatory standards.Collaborate with technical leads and senior management to deliver on performance and turnaround goals.Technical Focus:The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:ICP-MSGC-MS (Volatiles)MicrobiologyInstrumentation including (GC-TOFF-MS) preferred but not essentialExperience with method development, troubleshooting, and operational excellence in a high-throughput lab environment is highly valued.About You:Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Microbiology, or related discipline.Proven leadership experience in a commercial or environmental laboratory setting.Strong background in analytical instrumentation and lab operations.Excellent organizational and team-building skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment.
