Position SummaryNOIC ACADEMY is seeking a dedicated and passionate Biology/ Social Science Teacher to join our high school faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous instruction in Biology/ Social Science to students in Grades 9-12, preparing students for academic success and scientific literacy, while fostering a positive learning environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop, and deliver effective Biology/ Social Science lessons in alignment with the Ontario curriculum standardsIncorporate laboratory activities, experiments, and inquiry-based learning to support hands-on understanding.Assess, evaluate, and report on student progress using a variety of assessment tools.Maintain classroom discipline and a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance student learning and collaborationParticipate in school activities, staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in biology, Science Education, Social Science or a related field.Teacher Certification in Ontario (OCT) is preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience teaching biology/ Social Science at the high school level preferred.Strong knowledge of biology curriculum and pedagogy.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.A commitment to student success and lifelong learning.
