Job Description:This profile is applicable to the role of an Associate HR Generalist. This role is considered an entry-level role to the HR generalist job family and will generally form part of a larger office or project HR team.Job Overview:Supports the business and employees throughout the employment lifecycle. Has a broad range of responsibilities, including but not limited to talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, talent management, compensation and benefits, and operations.Base Salary: $65,000 74,000 (The range provided is for base salary only. In addition, McDermott offers a competitive total rewards package)Key Tasks and Responsibilities:With support from the HR Site Lead, provide timely and accurate advice and guidance on general HR inquiries related to policies and processes and other general HR matters, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, talent development, timesheets and payroll.Support the recruitment process through recruitment administration activitiesUpdate schedule changes, including leave requests within the HR SystemUpdate employee documents to reflect schedule changesReview weekly timesheet submissions in accordance with internal procedureAssist with Benefits and Payroll administrationSupport onboarding and off-boarding processes, which may include conducting orientation sessions, and system updates.Support talent management processes, including annual initiatives such as talent review, succession planning, and goals setting.Support more Senior HR Generalists and HR Center of Excellence employees on global initiatives.Responsible for HR Administration and maintenance of HR other systems as required.Make recommendations for process improvements and innovations to drive efficiencies.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Essential Qualifications and Education:Bachelors degree preferred but not essentialA minimum of 1 years experience in a similar or HR administration roleAn understanding of HR principles and practicesExperience with HR Systems such as Oracle considered an assetExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to build good relationshipsCapability to apply discretion and maintain high levels of confidentialityAbout UsOur ingenuity fuels daily life.
