Position: Junior Project Manager – High-Rise Residential Development Location: Calgary, AB Compensation: Up to $110,000 (commensurate with experience)A growing real estate Developer in Calgary is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to step out of a traditional general contractor or consulting firm and into a developer that self-performs its own construction projects, specializing in high-rise residential condos across the city.About the Role: The ideal candidate will come from a general contractor, EPCM, or cost consulting background and already have a solid understanding of how to run a construction project. Working closely with the Construction Manager, you’ll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle—from land acquisition and permitting through to construction execution, turnover, and transition to property management.This role is perfect for someone with a post-secondary education related to construction who is ready to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility in a smaller, agile team environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist in managing all project phases from pre-construction to final handoverSupport permitting, budgeting, tendering, procurement, and schedulingCoordinate with consultants, trades, suppliers, and internal stakeholdersMaintain accurate records, documentation, and cost trackingAttend site meetings, assist with QA/QC, and monitor project progressParticipate in post-construction activities including occupancy and transition to property managementIdeal Candidate Profile:Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related fieldCurrently working with a GC, EPCM, or cost consultant in a project coordinator or junior PM capacityStrong base knowledge of construction processes, timelines, and coordinationHighly detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow professionallySelf-starter who can work independently and manage competing prioritiesLong-term interest in development and the business side of constructionWhat’s Offered:Salary up to $110,000 (negotiable based on experience)Full benefits packageA rare opportunity to see and contribute to all phases of real estate developmentDirect mentorship from an experienced Construction ManagerCareer progression into more senior roles in construction or developmentTo Apply: If youre looking to take your construction knowledge to the next level and be part of a team that does it all, from buying land to handing over keys, this role offers unmatched exposure and long term potential.
