With a strong presence in the industry and a commitment to innovation and service, they are looking to add a Controls Salesperson to their team. This role would have a focus in the lower mainland, to grow into a role with regional responsibilities across BC.Position OverviewThis opportunity is ideal for someone with a sales background in controls and building automation systems. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of HVAC system design and controls, ideally with experience in both service and construction environments.This is a position that comes with a salary, and additional compensation, targeting the $120,000-$140,000 range.Key ResponsibilitiesOffer guidance to contractors and assist in preparing project quotesRecommend retrofit solutions and product alternatives to address specific client needs, including system startups and modificationsProgram and commission both Stand-Alone and Direct Digital Control (DDC) systemsPerform service checks including calibration, testing, and system verification on control equipmentDiagnose and complete repairs or replacements during system startup phasesSupport new construction projects by assisting with commissioning and system implementationProvide training for building operators and maintain close collaboration with clients and contractorsBuild and nurture relationships with key industry professionalsengineers, architects, contractors, developers, and building ownersto expand business and meet strategic goalsStay informed on industry regulations, codes, and market developments to ensure compliance and identify growth opportunitiesDemonstrate a proactive approach to personal and professional developmentEngage in self-learning and participate in factory visits or manufacturer training to stay current on new products and software toolsContribute to the rollout of new products and services within the marketParticipate in team meetings and relevant industry events (e.g., SMACNA, MCA, VRCA)Perform additional duties as assigned by managementRequired Skills & QualificationsIn-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and operationsDegree or diploma in a technical discipline preferredMinimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in HVAC or Building AutomationAbility to interpret mechanical and technical drawingsStrong communication abilitiesverbal, written, and presentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsCapable of working independently under pressureStrategic mindset with an entrepreneurial drive and a passion for innovationHigh level of personal integrity and a commitment to collaboration and respectThis position comes with a competitive compensation package including a pension plan, and a comprehensive benefits package.
