They aim to eliminate prejudice and discrimination and shape a world where mental illness is central to our healthcare system a world where Mental Health is Health.To learn more about CAMH, please visit their website at: view our Land Acknowledgment, please click.The Digital Mental Health Lab, which is a part of the Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics (KCNI), at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is currently seeking a casual Scientific Associate with clinical research experience focused on conducting research studies and other implementation projects being led by the Digital Mental Health Lab (to the KCNI Research Manager and Senior Scientist of the Lab and working in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team including scientists, researchers, and clinicians, the Scientific Associate will conduct projects focused on the design, build, implementation and evaluation of digital technologies to support mental health care, treatment and service delivery. This role includes a high degree of collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities will include supporting research, including reviews, qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and assisting in the preparation and execution of research reports, grants, papers, and other knowledge translation activities. The Scientific Associate will also contribute to mentorship of staff and research trainees as appropriate.Job RequirementsThe successful candidate will have a PhD degree in health services research or health informatics with post-doctoral experience preferred. The successful candidate will have demonstrated professional experience and training, preferably working within digital mental health research (including supporting populations requiring suicide prevention care, schizophrenia and psychosis treatment, and grievers). Expertise in research methodology and analysis is required, including the ability to carry out patient and family engagement in research. Experience and knowledge of behaviour change interventions would be an asset, as well evidence of productive partnering with various stakeholder groups. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively to improve the quality of care for our clients in a research setting, within an inter-professional team are essential.The ideal candidate will have experience with academic writing, including grant submissions, conference presentations, course development, and publications in peer-reviewed journals. The ability to work collaboratively with the Principal Investigator to assist with new research proposals. Also, strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both in writing and in oral presentation, are desired.You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
