Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director, People & Culture will be a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for shaping and driving the companys people strategy during a time of exciting transformation and growth. This is a unique opportunity to join the leadership team of a values-based, family-led business and build a forward-thinking HR function from the ground up. Key areas of focus will include organizational design, leadership development, talent acquisition, performance management, total rewards, and culture-building initiatives. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and play a vital role in ensuring the companys people practices align with its long-term growth and values. You are a people leader with experience building or scaling HR functions in a dynamic, small-to-mid-sized organization, ideally within real estate, construction, or similar project-based industries. ~ You bring a strong foundation in HR best practices and legislation, paired with hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle - including exposure to best practices in recruiting, onboarding, and talent development. ~ You thrive in environments where you wear multiple hats each day and are just as comfortable developing strategic frameworks as you are rolling up your sleeves to handle day-to-day HR operations. ~ Equally important is your ability to navigate the nuances of a family business environment with professionalism, diplomacy, and a relationship-first mindset. ~ You are energized by building programs and processes from the ground up and have a track record of designing practical, human-centered solutions that align people with business strategy. ~ Youre passionate about fostering inclusive, high-performance cultures and are excited by the opportunity to make a lasting impact at an organization entering a new phase of growth. This role comes with a base salary in the range of CAD $175,000 - $225,000, along with a competitive benefits package.
