About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a highly skilled Director of Guidance and Research to lead comprehensive research initiatives on emerging issues and trends in assurance and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and updating guidance materials, whitepapers, and best practice documents. They will also provide clear and concise interpretations of complex challenges and engage with CPAs and regulatory bodies to gather insights and represent the firm in various forums. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the creation and revision of guidance materials while offering expert interpretations of accounting and assurance standards. You will also develop and deliver training programs and educational content to enhance the firm''s understanding of professional standards. Additionally, you will manage and mentor the Professional Advisory Services team to foster collaboration and drive excellence. The successful candidate will have a university degree, CPA designation, and a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in audit firms, preferably at a Senior Manager level or standard setting body. Experience developing and updating guidance materials, preparing live/pre-recorded webinars/podcasts, collaborating with standards-setting bodies, managing teams, and conducting training sessions are essential requirements.
