Senior Financial Planning Analyst About the Position We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Preparing monthly production of spending reports for senior management; Consolidating analysis of variance explanations and validating or clarifying with budget leaders as needed; Preparing board materials with relevant analysis of total company spending as assigned; Leveraging expertise in TM1 budget tool to lead lunch and learn training sessions for budget leaders and their assistants; Supporting budget leaders and their assistants in completing salary model and budget inputs; Analyzing and reporting on budget performance for senior management; Providing expense accounting and finance support for business areas where complexity and frequency require specialized attention; Overseeing intercompany accounting and third-party invoicing; Ensuring compliance with expense-related accounting policies and practices; Ledging and mentoring the Expense Management team; Crafting and enforcing formal processes for managing team members throughout the year; Assisting in preparation of team member development plans and ongoing follow-up. About You We are looking for someone with: A University degree in Business or Accounting; Designated CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation recognized in Canada; Minimum 5+ years of experience in budgeting and variance analysis; Leadership and staff management experience; Insurance or financial services industry experience is an asset.
