Financial Analyst/Manager Position About the Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst or Manager to join our team and manage end-to-end accounting for specialty reinsurance contracts. Liaise with lead underwriters and the legal team to develop new business opportunities, providing expert opinion on accounting and reinsurance matters. Analyze and monitor collateral requirements based on OSFI rules, utilizing reinsurance data and data received from other departments. Manage accounting timelines for this portfolio and work with the reinsurance team to ensure these are met. Prepare and analyze reports, investigating variances and raising questions on reasonability of results. About You: A degree in Accounting or Finance is required, along with a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent. Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of Oracle Fusion, Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS), and Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud (FCCS) are assets. Minimum 3 years of accounting-related experience, preferably in Property and Casualty insurance operations, reinsurance, accounting, and regulatory reporting. Knowledge of IFRS, specifically IFRS 17, Insurance Contracts is essential. Benefits: Competitive salary range: $90,000 - $95,000/year (Analyst) or $110,000 - $115,000/year (Manager).
