We amplify communities voices throughresearch and support services, wielding influence in the community through creativity and advocacy.Scope & Summary of Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our organization, ensuring that weare operating efficiently and effectively to meet social impact goals and organizational process targets. TheED is the face of our organization, working closely with the Board of Directors, not for profit organizations,community members, government officials and the public. They ensure that staff, volunteers and membersare aligned with the organizations mission and vision, and that we are working together to successfullyachieve strategic objectives.Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will :Work with the board to ensure the organizations mission is fulfilled through programs, strategicplanning and community outreach.Lead collaborative strategic planning and implementation. Be responsible for developing andimplementing strategic plans collaboratively with partners to ensure that the RRF cansuccessfully fulfill its mission in the future.Be responsible for fundraising, seeking and applying for appropriate grants, and developing otherrevenues streams necessary to support the RRFs mission.Be responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipate operating with a balanced budget,ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financialpositionOversee high level and general day-to-day operations of the organization and manage allprograms, initiatives and projects of the foundationCreate complete operational and action plans for the attainment of the goals and objectives set outwithin the strategic plans of the Board of Directors and be responsible for the effectiveadministration of all RRFs operations.Ensure strict adherence to the organizations daily / weekly / monthly activities and long-termplans to established policies and legal guidelines.Serve as RRFs primary spokesperson and be a positive, charismatic ambassador to theorganizations membership, the media and the public via interviews, statements, social media,and other outreach efforts.Establish and maintain relationships with various public and private organizations and strengthenrelationships with Albertas African, Caribbean, and Black communities.Oversee and navigate important but sensitive relationships with communities such as the2SLGBTQ+, people living with or impacted by HIV / AIDS, and other vulnerable populations.Be responsible for communicating effectively with the Board and providing, in a timely andaccurate manner, support for Board meetings, including all information necessary for the Boardto function properly and make informed decisions.Travel across Alberta as required to support projects and stakeholders.Supervise the day-to-day administration of corporate staff to ensure optimum efficiency andcompliance with statutory regulations and all external funding obligations and requirements.Other duties as assigned may be assigned by the Board of Directors from time to time.Qualifications :A post-secondary degree in business administration, community development, public health, orrelevant field (International Education is recognized).Must have authorization to work in Canada.Minimum of five (5) years of related experience with a minimum of four (4) years in seniormanagement position with effective supervisory, leadership and team building skillsInternational Experience is recognized).Experience working with a broad and diverse range of stakeholders.Proven fundraising achievements, including grant writing, with knowledge and experience inCommunity organizing, advocacy and activism experience for people in the African, Caribbean,and Black community.In depth knowledge of corporate governance principles and managerial best practices.Experience with the constellation model of governance is a major plus.Fluency and proficiency in writing, speaking and communication in English Language is a mustand ability to speak French or African languages is an asset.Valid driver's license and access to a car are requiredSalary and Benefits :We offer a competitive salary reflective of your education and experiences.
