Project Estimator/Manager Victoria, BC | Full-Time | Only local candidates will be considered. Are you a numbers-driven professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for construction? Capital City Paving, a well-established Victoria-based civil contractor operating since 1987, is looking for a Project Estimator/Manager to join our growing team. This is a key role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and brings both technical skill and strong people skills to the table. Youll be responsible for estimating and managing a variety of projects across residential, commercial, municipal, and utility sectors from the first bid to the final invoice. What Youll Do: Accurately prepare cost estimates for civil construction and paving projects Manage projects from start to finish including bidding, scheduling, execution, and close-out Conduct site visits and attend pre-construction meetings Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to align on scope, timelines, and deliverables Monitor budgets, timelines, and project profitability with precision Ensure compliance with industry standards (MOTI, MMCD, etc.) Prepare and manage documentation: proposals, contracts, invoicing, and approvals Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders Use a company-supplied vehicle and fuel card for project-related travel What Were Looking For: Extremely detail-oriented and analytical youre someone who doesnt miss a thing Minimum 2 years of experience in project estimation or management within civil construction or paving Deep understanding of earthworks, paving, underground utilities, and grading Strong working knowledge of MOTI and MMCD specs and standards Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software Excellent communicator approachable, clear, and professional Highly organized, self-motivated, and driven to deliver results Valid drivers license (required) Why work with us?
