Project Estimator/Manager Victoria, BC | Full-Time | Only local candidates will be considered.Are you a numbers-driven professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for construction? Capital City Paving, a well-established Victoria-based civil contractor operating since 1987, is looking for a Project Estimator/Manager to join our growing team.This is a key role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and brings both technical skill and strong people skills to the table. Youll be responsible for estimating and managing a variety of projects across residential, commercial, municipal, and utility sectors from the first bid to the final invoice.Were proud of the strong, supportive culture weve built over decades, and were excited to welcome someone who wants to grow with us long-term.What Youll Do:Accurately prepare cost estimates for civil construction and paving projectsManage projects from start to finish including bidding, scheduling, execution, and close-outConduct site visits and attend pre-construction meetingsCollaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to align on scope, timelines, and deliverablesMonitor budgets, timelines, and project profitability with precisionEnsure compliance with industry standards (MOTI, MMCD, etc.)Prepare and manage documentation: proposals, contracts, invoicing, and approvalsBuild and maintain trusted relationships with clients and stakeholdersUse a company-supplied vehicle and fuel card for project-related travelWhat Were Looking For:Extremely detail-oriented and analytical youre someone who doesnt miss a thingMinimum 2 years of experience in project estimation or management within civil construction or pavingDeep understanding of earthworks, paving, underground utilities, and gradingStrong working knowledge of MOTI and MMCD specs and standardsProficient in Microsoft Office and estimating softwareExcellent communicator approachable, clear, and professionalHighly organized, self-motivated, and driven to deliver resultsValid drivers license (required)Why work with us?Competitive salaryOpportunity for career advancement and long-term growthRRSP matching programCompany supplied vehicle and fuelMedical and dental benefitsFun company events and team-building activitiesA collaborative, respectful, and hardworking teamProudly serving Victoria since 1987Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentStart Date: As soon as possibleTo Apply:Send your resume and cover letter to appreciate all interest in this role only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
