Job Description

We are partnering with a local college in Edmonton to find their next Operations Manager. Reporting to the President, you play a vital role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the college campus. This role is responsible for managing administrative functions, overseeing student services, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting academic departments. You will be a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of private career college operations, including PCC compliance and ministry regulations.Key Responsibilities:Campus Operations & AdministrationOversee daily campus operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and productive learning environmentManage scheduling, facilities, front-desk, and administrative support teamsMaintain inventory of office and instructional supplies, liaising with vendors and service providersRegulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU), Private Career Colleges Act, and all relevant regulationsMaintain accurate documentation for audits and inspectionsSupport program registration, renewals, and any required institutional reportingStudent Services & SupportOversee the student life cycle from enrollment through graduation, ensuring a high standard of student experienceCollaborate with admissions, finance, and academic teams to coordinate student onboarding, records management, and graduation preparationAddress and resolve student concerns in a timely and professional mannerTeam LeadershipSupervise administrative, student services, and support staffProvide performance management, training, and mentorshipPromote a positive and collaborative workplace cultureCommunication & CoordinationServe as the operational point of contact between departments including Admissions, Academics, Finance, and Career ServicesSupport campus events, graduations, and information sessionsPrepare reports for senior management and external regulators as neededQualifications:Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Education Management, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of relevant experience Strong knowledge of Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 and PCC compliance requirements (Alberta or Ontario depending on jurisdiction)Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skillsHigh level of proficiency in MS Office and student information systems (e.g., Orbund, Populi, CampusLogin)Thank you for the interest, however, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
