Location: Ottawa, ON Organization: Canadian Steel Producers Association (CSPA) Reports to: President & CEO The Canadian Steel Producers Association (CSPA) is seeking a strategic, experienced, and collaborative Director, Climate and Environment to join our senior leadership team.This executive role is central to advancing CSPAs priorities in environmental policy, climate leadership, and sustainability. The successful candidate will lead the Associations Environment and Climate Committees, manage regulatory and policy advocacy, and represent Canadas steel producers in high-level engagements with government, industry, and global partners. Key Responsibilities:Lead the development of national industry positions on climate and environmental policy and regulationOversee CSPAs climate strategy, including technical studies, advocacy, and reporting initiativesRepresent CSPA in government consultations, international forums, and strategic alliancesProvide expert leadership to CSPAs Environment and Climate CommitteesBuild and manage relationships with external partners, including regulators, trade groups, and research organizations What Were Looking For:5+ years of senior-level experience in environmental policy, climate strategy, or regulatory affairsStrong knowledge of Canadian environmental and climate frameworks; international experience is an assetProven track record in stakeholder engagement and public advocacy at senior levelsExceptional communication, policy analysis, and leadership skillsAdvanced degree in Environmental Policy, Public Policy, Law, Engineering, or related fieldPreference is for Ottawa based or willing to relocate; ability to travel as requiredJob Details Full Time position based in Ottawa ONComprehensive health and dental benefits packageA hybrid work environment.Paid vacation and sick leave Are you ready to help shape the future of Canadas steel industry?
